Our CIT camp is designed for those mature campers interested in the possibility of serving as a volunteer counselor or on summer staff in the future. Discussion groups, a personal spiritual gifts inventory, and participation in other camp small groups help to teach and prepare counselors for ministry. In addition to the excellent leadership training opportunities, there will be plenty of typical fun Aldersgate activities and transformative spiritual growth. Regardless of whether you’ll want to apply for summer staff in the future or want to gain skills to minister in the local church or any context, CIT will help you develop leadership skills.

Spelunking Camp gives Aldersgators a glimpse of a truly unique part of God’s creation, one that can challenge us both physically and spiritually. Learn about our Creator as you navigate underground caverns, past stalactites and stalagmites, with experienced Aldersgate staff and volunteers as your guides. With a headlamp illuminating your surroundings, you’ll find yourself otherwise immersed in total darkness, crawling, climbing and exploring the natural caverns around camp. Then on Thursday and Friday we will go offsite to explore some of the amazing caves around our region. Also enjoy traditional camp activities and campfire worship.

Busy schedules - there’s work, there’s the school team, there’s band, there’s all sorts of obligations. But we all need a break - even if it’s brief. How about camp for a day? All ages are invited to experience Aldersgate for a day. This is a great way for "old" campers to relive the glory days or for parents to introduce their children to the place they loved as kids or time just to renew and recharge, even if just for a day. Campers will experience a slice of camp - including hikes, hayrides, crafts, swimming, camp meals, camp fire and an overnight in our comfortable, air conditioned cottage.

Adventure Camp is a semi-wilderness campout adventure. Campers stay at our Outpost Camp in a beautiful, remote, wooded area of camp, yet well within walking distance of the main camp and the bath house! Adventure campers will sleep, cook some meals and live at Outpost Camp while also experiencing many of the classic camp activities and most meals in the dining room. Tent shelters with regular bunk beds are provided, and a cooking shelter is used to make this a self-contained and (by the end of the week) deeply bonded group. Campers will learn about camping, cooking, hiking, caving, environmental education, and other wilderness skills, while also still participating in activities at main camp, like low ropes, swimming, craft hut time, and more. Gain a deeper appreciation for God through his beautiful creation at Jr. High Adventure Camp!

In its 14th summer, this popular camp is open to grandparents and their grandchildren. No parents allowed! Grandparent(s) and grandchildren will participate in the traditional camp activities (like swimming, crafts, campfire, etc.) as a unit. Grand Camps last 3 days, 2 nights and are housed in our comfortable, homey, air-conditioned cottages. Space is limited to one family (5 people) per bedroom, so register early! Adventure Camp is a semi-wilderness campout adventure. Campers stay at our Outpost Camp in a beautiful, remote, wooded area of camp, yet well within walking distance of the main camp and the bath house! Adventure campers will sleep, cook some meals and live at Outpost Camp while also experiencing many of the classic camp activities and most meals in the dining room. Tent shelters with regular bunk beds are provided, and a cooking shelter is used to make this a self-contained and (by the end of the week) deeply bonded group. Campers will learn about camping, cooking, hiking, caving, environmental education, and other wilderness skills, while also still participating in activities at main camp, like low ropes, swimming, craft hut time, and more. Gain a deeper appreciation for God through his beautiful creation at Jr. High Adventure Camp!

At Mystery Camp, we will unravel unique mysteries using clues we stumble upon around camp. Mysterious events may happen at any time during the week as we examine the mysteries of God. Mysteries will focus on nature, riddles, lost items, Biblical topics, and our relationships. We will close this case by week’s end. (Rising 9th graders – College Freshmen)

This is our 10th year for the extremely popular horse camps. Spend a week learning about, grooming, and riding our horses. No equestrian experience is necessary, simply an interest and openness to learning more. Senior High Horse Camp will go deeper into equestrian riding skills than our other horse camps can. You may bring your own horse (with prior arrangement) or get to know one of ours. Regular camp activities like swimming, crafts, hiking and Bible study are also a part of horse camp. Remember to bring a pair of long pants and tennis shoes or boots to ride and work in.

Established for developmentally disabled adults (18 and over), Vacation Retreat provides opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities and their buddies to enjoy each other one on one. This is two camps in one…Deaf Camp will provide an opportunity for deaf youth to experience God in a variety of ways. Not only will campers participate in normal camp activities, but they will also have opportunities to touch the lives as they share their American Sign Language with the entire Loucon campus. As communication barriers break, deaf and sign campers will learn to accept, help, love, and work towards a common goal of building a strong relationship with the Lord. Sign Camp is designed to teach campers how to communicate with the deaf using American Sign Language. Because deaf and sign camp run concurrently, campers will have the opportunity to learn new signs and be able to put them into practice throughout the week.
