On February 6, the Lexington District will present Laity Answering God’s Call: A Clergy and Lay event. Our time will include worship, training, and fellowship. We will have leadership from across the Conference. Workshops will include: Staff Parish Team Training, Finance Team Training, Administrative Council/Lead Team Training, Children’s Ministry, Lay Leaders, Demographics of the Lexington District, Mission and Outreach, Youth Ministry, Congregational/Clergy Assessment, Trustees Training, Safe Sanctuaries, Satellite/New Church Development, Disaster Response and Preparedness, Young Adult Ministry. Additionally, Rev. Scott Wilson of Mt. Sterling UMC will lead the plenary, “Forging a Partnership Between Clergy and Laity.” We hope to have the Red Bird Mission Craft Ministry and a Cokesbury display.
