Impact KY - Louisville District

August 16, 2014!

Thank you for visiting the Impact Louisville web site.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Impact Louisville.

Here are some of the comments:

"We had a great time today at the West Point prayer parade.  We had folks drive cars, golf carts, ATVs, walk and ride bikes.  Ages kindergarten, high schoolers, young adult, and retired folks.  We formed connections with other churches in town as well.  And the State Rep (State Representative Jeff Greer) who happens to be from Brandenburg UMC joined us for a while to chat.  Can't wait to do this again!"
                     -   Pastor Sharon Bailey, West Point UMC

17. Pay It Forward

Families of elementary aged children who want a challenge are invited to come Pay It Forward! We will meet at a charitable agency in Louisville at 1pm (TBD) to learn about their work and receive assignments. Families will then receive a small sum of money ($10-25) and can choose one of two tracks:

1. Multiply it – The family will have 3 hours to take that sum and turn it into more. They will receive suggestions and instructions, such as purchasing materials for a lemonade stand, purchasing supplies for a community service, selling candy bars in front of a place of business, etc.
2. Stretch it – The family will have 3 hours to take that money and go shopping. We will provide a list of items needed by our charity partner. The family will go out and try to purchase as many items from the list as possible without spending more or less than the provided amount.

Everyone will return to turn in their results and celebrate the way God multiplied our gifts to help someone in our city.
