Something Big: Portland Peaceball Set to Break Record

April 29, 2011

This is a picture of the Soon-To-Be WORLD’S LARGEST BALL OF TAPE taken in front of the Argon Building in Louisville.

At the time of the picture the ball weighed 1600 pounds. At Portland Promise Center Side by Side Banquet on May 21, the ball will weigh more than 1863 pounds, and the Promise Center Kids will be recognized by Guinness Book of World Records for their record-breaking accomplishment.

The Promise Center Kids want to invite you to the event to celebrate with them.

At the event, the Promise Center Kids will help host you to a delightful evening that includes a silent and live auction, a gourmet buffet, and a tour of the 1800 Building that is under renovation.

The Community Peace Ball was an idea the Promise Center Kids had to help raise awareness and funds for the building project. It turned out to be a BIG Success and GREW into a community art project with over 1000 people helping break the world’s record.

The Side by Side Banquet is May 21, 5:30 p.m., at the 1800 Building on Portland Avenue in Louisville.
