Servant Leadership Academy

The Servant Leadership Academy is a program to develop the leadership gifts and skills of laypersons in United Methodist congregations. Through participation in the program, individuals will explore the skills required for effective leadership in today’s church environment, increase their understanding of Wesley’s Means of Grace, and deepen their knowledge and practice of spiritual disciplines.

In between sessions, participants will have reading and project assignments that will enhance their learning experience.

Sessions will be held at the Conference Center in Crestwood, KY and scheduled Friday night through Saturday afternoon on the following weekends:

September 15 – 16, 2006

“Servant Leadership in Our Beliefs”
November 10 – 11
     “Servant Leadership in Our Connection”
January 19 – 20, 2007
     “Servant Leadership in Our Formation”
March 9 - 10
     “Servant Leadership in Our Ministry”

If you are interested in being a member of the 2006-2007 class, or know of someone who would make a good participant, please click here to fill out the application.  If you need any further information, contact:
