Youthworker Sabbath

youthworker Sabbath is a great opportunity for
the professional youthworker to gather for connecting and rest.

We have three youthworker Sabbath retreats scheduled for 2010

  • January 11-12 at the Kavanaugh Life Enrichment Center, Crestwood
  • May 10-11 at the Loucon Training and Retreat Center, Leitchfield
  • September 13-14 at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center, Ravenna

Each of these retreats are designed for Rest and Restoration... the side benefit of these times are the connection we gain as co-workers in youth work.

Each retreat starts with a program time at 2:00 pm on Monday and concludes by 11:30 am on Tuesday (prevailing time).  Along the way we will study, play, eat, rest, gather in fellowship, and find solitude.

We usually have a group that gathers for lunch the day we begin... and weather permitting we have a group that loves to golf at the end of each retreat, so bring your clubs.

Each retreat includes a NICE dinner on Monday evening (we are grillin'), breakfast on Tuesday, all program materials, and ample time to meet others and gather with God.

Cost is $20/person each retreat.  Registration is due no later than 10 days advance by calling David (800-530-7236) or emailing youth@kyumc.org with Sabbath Retreat in the subject.  Always bring your Bible, bedding, toiletries, and a spirit of adventure.  (Often times we will have retreat activities outdoors - please bring clothing and shoes to accommodate these activities.)
