Winter Blitz 11 Free Time Options

Saturday afternoon is a scheduled FREE TIME for your group. The focus of our weekend is in the main sessions so we do not plan for Saturday activities other than a few options. Please use this time to build the community of your group however you feel best serves the need of your group. Here are some of the activities we offered.

Inflatables
In the main hall 1:30-4:00 pm we will have several inflatable games and climbing wall provided by Astro Events (online at www.astrojump.com). The games will be provided for any person with paid admission to Winter Blitz.

Karaoke
Show off your skills at the Karaoke stage in the Crowne Plaza Ballroom, 1:30-4:00 pm. We will have the full sounds and lights ready for you to show off the skills you’ve got. Who knows maybe you will win a spot on the main stage performing in front of all of Winter Blitz.

Team Building/Challenge Initiative
We are pleased to announce that as part of our free time options on Saturday, Aldersgate Camp and Camp Loucon will be hosting some activities for registered participants.  Four rooms at the Crowne Plaza Hotel will be transformed into opportunities for team building and challenge initiatives (indoor low ropes).  As you come into registration, stop by the Aldersgate and Loucon display tables and get registered for either the 1:30 or the 3:00 time slots for Saturday afternoon.  Space will be limited – so register early.

Around Town
As part of your registration packet of materials you will receive at the door, we will offer several other ideas of things to “do and see” in the Louisville area for your Saturday free time.   We will try and have these posted online by mid-December.  Many of these options will be an additional cost (Ice Skating, Bowling, Lasar Tag, etc.) but do offer an excellent opportunity of team building/bonding.

Mission Excursion
Fulfilling our call to be the hands and feet of Christ we wish to provide for a limited number of participants to join in a working missional opportunity. For those that would like to use the Saturday afternoon time for making a difference in the Louisville community we are arranging for several different Mission Facilities to open their doors - and let us help. We will have work projects all over town during the Noon-4:00 pm time on Saturday. If your group would like to use their free time in this way, please call the Kentucky Conference office at 1-800-530-7236  or email youth@kyumc.org and ask for David Sparks to register your group. There are a limited number of opportunities available, and we can only accommodate the first few groups to register, so call and register your group early.  To be ready for the number of participants we will close Mission Excursion registration on January 6th.
