The Kentucky United Methodist Advocacy Team has some grant money available for churches that are beginning advocacy ministries. Some of the types of ministries that would fall under advocacy are restorative justice ministries, children’s advocacy, outreach ministry to Native Americans, jail ministries, special needs ministries, etc.
The purpose of these grants is to assist local churches in establishing ministries that work directly with those who need advocates. Some examples of these types of ministries are establishment of jail ministries, outreach ministry to Native Americans, Establishing special needs Sunday school classes, ministry to rescue victims of child abuse, etc. These grants are for direct ministry support.
Grants are for a maximum of $500. A LIMITED NUMBER OF GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE.
