October 31, 2013

Close to 500 friends and supporters of Wesley Village attended the 16th Annual Heroes, Saints and Legends Awards Banquet held at Lexington’s Embassy Suites on October 1st, 2013. Those honored for a lifetime of service to others were Phyllis Hail, long-time Council on Ministries Associate Director for Leadership Development; Raymond A. Bradbury, industry leader in coal mining safety and productivity; and  James A. Shepherd, UMC pastor to local congregations for over 70 years!

The keynote address was delivered by North Alabama Annual Conference Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett; special music provided by several University of Kentucky Choral Scholars under the direction of Mr. Brock Terry.  A featured resident family member testimony was shared by Mrs. Mary Ann Vimont.

All proceeds from the evening benefited Wesley Village’s “Celebrate the Difference Campaign” to build more small homes for licensed long-term health and memory care.   For more information on this event and the small home campaign call Village V.P. for Development, Tim Layton, at (859) 858-3865 ext. 262.
