St. Matthews Campus Youth Minister St. Matthews United Methodist Church is a multi-site church in Louisville, KY. We are looking for a part time youth minister to work in a team cross campus youth ministry model with two other youth ministry staff. The position will focus on relational ministry with students and program ministry.

Hours: 12 hours per week Direct Report: Derek Robinette, Associate Pastor for River City and Youth Ministry Supervision Schedule: Monthly check-in with direct report, Annual Review in June or July Responsibilities • Assist in leading weekly Sunday night youth ministry at the St. Matthews Campus. This will include planning meetings, gathering supplies, recruiting and training volunteers, leading devotionals/activities/games, and providing guidance/support/supervision for the youth. • Perform the following Sunday morning responsibilities at the St. Matthews Campus: o Teach Sunday School weekly o Attend 8:30am and 11am services o Occasional leadership in worship services • Engage in relational and discipleship ministry with St. Matthews students outside the walls of the church. This will involve attending student activities such as sports games and musical performances, being present at major celebrations like graduations or other ceremonies, and being a pastoral care presence during times of sickness, grief, or crisis. • Lead Wednesday night youth small groups at the St. Matthews Campus. This will involve similar responsibilities to those listed for Sunday night (above). • Participate in cross-campus retreats and events such as Confirmation Retreat, Winter Blitz, Mission Trips, etc. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • High School diploma required, Some college experience preferred • One to two years of related work experience • Must be able to pass a background check for Safe Sanctuaries Special Demands • Ability to work with students that may have special needs and/or learning challenges
