Empowering Pastoral Transitions
It is the desire of our bishop, cabinet, Board of Ordained Ministry, and conference staff to empower pastoral transitions. In the past we have tried to do this through gathering of moving pastors and receiving churches for a “Day of Empowerment.” The Covid-19 pandemic prevents us from gathering in person, so we offer you these brief videos and resources.
New information about safe meetings and the Covid-19 virus is arriving daily. Please pay close attention the new resource from the Lewis Center for Church Leadership: “The Right Start: Beginning Ministry in a New Setting - COVID-19 Supplement.”
After you have viewed the videos and read the resources, be sure to have a discussion about them with your moving pastor or receiving SPR/PPR Committee. We pray that they will help you make good transitions so as to empower the mission of the local church.
