On behalf of the Kentucky Conference Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century Design Team, we invite you to join us for our Intentional Mentoring Academy Conference to be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 310 Browns Lane, Louisville, Kentucky.
The purpose of the KC SBC21 Intentional Mentoring Academy is to provide resources that will discover, develop, and prepare passionate spiritual young adult leaders within predominantly African American churches, to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
The Academy is made up of young adults, 25 – 40 years of age, who currently serve in their church and desire to grow in their leadership roles, through training, exposure to resources in the Kentucky Annual Conference and through mentoring opportunities.
This conference is open to all churches in our conference and others in the community. We are asking you to identify young adults in your congregation and encourage them to attend. The topics will be relevant to this age group and the speakers will encourage participants to continue to grow in God’s calling upon their life.
Please see the attached flyer. Registration is $15 each and includes lunch. There is a group rate of $10 each for 5 or more people registering from the same church. The schedule for the day is as follows:
