Attendance at either a Winter or Summer Candidacy Retreat is required for all those pursuing certified candidacy in the Kentucky Annual Conference, including those who are considering becoming local pastors, elders or deacons. The retreats are scheduled in January and August of each year. Registration forms should be requested from the candidate's district superintendent's office. The cost for the retreat is $500, which includes payment for the Tier I Psychological Evaluation, an official background check and the price for attending the retreat itself.
