For the last two years, the Kentucky Annual Conference has partnered with Belize Methodist Church to provide resources to build the Belmopan Methodist High School. The mission team will work with Jamie & Lisa Williams, who are United Methodist missionaries from Kentucky now serving in the Central American country of Belize. The trip is open to persons from any Kentucky Conference church.
The team will be working with the Methodist Church of Belize to help complete the construction of the Methodist High School in the country's capital of Belmopan, as well as building relationships between Methodists in Kentucky and Belize. While having some team members with construction skills would be helpful, no special skills are necessary for the trip. However, a person must be able and willing to do manual labor. Total cost for the trip, per person will be about $1800 ($1400 plus $400 fundraising for supplies).
To apply to be a part of the team, please fill out the application( click here to download application), a medical release form (click here to download medical release form), and an authorization for a background check (click to download background release of information form).
Return the application by mail by February 10. Team Leader is Tami Coleman(tcoleman@kyumc.org), Associate Director of Connectional Ministries. Please return your application by February 10.
