Are you interested in mission opportunities both close to home and abroad? Do you feel led to lead a team to experience what God is doing in other places? Do you want to make sure your mission trips are well planned and bear fruit? United Methodist Volunteers in Mission is offering training to equip individuals to lead mission effective mission trips. UMVIM offers the opportunities of hundreds of United Methodist mission sites around the United States and around the globe.
Two training tracks are available:
Team Leader Training – 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. CT: This training will equip participants to lead mission trips, both domestic and international. Participants will be trained and resourced to be effective mission trip organizers and team leaders. Those participating will be certified to lead United Methodist Volunteers in Mission teams.
Training Leader Certification – 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. CT: This training track is for those who have led teams previously with UMVIM and would like to be equipped and certified to train other team leaders. Kentucky Conference UMVIM is looking to have a number of individuals who can lead team leader training in their areas in order to better equip more local churches in our conference to send effective mission teams. Previous completion of a UMVIM Team Leader training course is necessary.
1 CEU credit available for pastors
Cost: $30 (includes lunch)
