Celebration/Ceremony – 3:00

Join us as we celebrate Bishop Lindsey Davis' assignment to the Kentucky Annual Conference and Red Bird Missionary Conference.

How you can participate
-Pray for the event and for our new Bishop & his family.
-Come and bring your friends and family.
-Bring your church banner.
-Sing in the conference-wide choir.

-Bring food for the collection.

Banners: Churches are invited to bring your church banner and a stand for the celebration. Ushers will direct placement for district and church banners.  Please remember to bring your own banner stand and bring the banners by 2:15. Please remember to collect your banner following the service. 

Child care will be provided at First UMC, Frankfort (located at 211 Washington Street). Reservations for child care are appreciated; please contact Rev. Tonya Kenner at tonyafumc@fewpb.net or 502-227-7430.  Please bring food for lunches.

Conference-wide Choir will help provide musical leadership for the celebration: Dress is white top and black pants or skirt.  Be at the civic center at 1 p.m. (eastern time) (please eat lunch before you come).  The choir will sing two selections, "He Never Failed Me Yet" and "I Love You, Lord" with "My Jesus, I Love You." Both selections can be ordered from www.jwpepper.com or each district office has a few copies of each piece. If you need more information, contact your district superintendent.

Attention Clergy: There will NOT be reserved seating for clergy. We will have open seating. The exceptions are that there will be reserved seating for retired pastors and their spouses, the full cabinet and their families, District Lay Leaders and their spouses, and conference staff.
Other clergy will NOT process, so clergy will not need to bring their robes
and stoles.

Food Collection: You are invited to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Emergency Food Pantry of Franklin County.
