You may remember our Prestonsburg District funded and helped build a Habitat for Humanity home last year. Pastors and laity at our 2007 District Conference made a commitment to raise $15,000 to the SWAP Ministry. At the present time, $4,700 has been received. Help us as we reach out to home owners to repair not only their homes but bring the message of Jesus to their lives. Sharing With Appalachian People (SWAP) is a home repair ministry that serves families in several counties of southeastern Kentucky. Not only do SWAP volunteers spend a week in the mountains working with local people who are homeowners, they share the good news of God’s love and build everlasting relationships. In 2007, 868 Volunteers served with SWAP 50 different groups from different churches represented Over 80 home owners in Appalachia received help this season to make their home safe, warm and dry. If you can help, please contact the church office or Pastor Bob.
