You are welcome to join us at 5:00 PM, Sunday evening, December 3rd, for an old-fashioned Christmas celebration. 

Snivley Chapel may be the oldest church building in Eastern Kentucky, having been built in 1853, seven years before the Civil War started. 

The order of the service includes Christmas carols, reminiscences, special music, a devotional, followed by Communion, a beautiful candle-lighting service, and "old-fashioned" refreshments. 

You should dress warmly as heat is supplied by kerosene heater.  The old pot-bellied stove still stands, but is currently unusable. 

A fund-raising organization, "Friends of Snivley Chapel", is soliciting donations for renovation of the building.  Any contribution is appreciated.
