Your Board of Ordained Ministry invites every congregation in our conference to observe this special Sunday in several ways:

1. talk from the pulpit about the blessing of being called into vocational ministry.
2. have a special time of prayer for those in vocational ministry and those discerning a call.
3. offer a time for those discerning a call to come forward during the service.
4. invite a deacon, elder, local pastor, deaconess, or other specialized lay minister to come and share with your congregation about vocational ministry.
5. set up a display table after worship with information from the Board of Ordained Ministry.
6. talk to individuals who may be discerning a call.
