***This session of Discipleshift has been POSTPONED until the spring!***

The mission of the United Methodist Church is to fulfill the Great Commission of “Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”  There are many avenues in which a disciple is made but intentionality is key for this transformational process.  Discipleshift is an intentional discipleship model for churches through small groups.  This discipleship system can be learned easily and implemented with our clergy and laity.

This is a two-day retreat where you will come and experience the transformational small group experience.  Fifty people is our maximum for this experience so it is a first come basis.

Friday – 8:30 am Time of gathering
5:00 pm – Day of learning ends

Saturday – 8:30 am Time of gathering
                  5:00 pm Retreat ends

After the retreat, we will offer follow up training of facilitators who are looking to implement Discipleshift in their church.  This will be done online and led by Drew Oakley and Jim Fant, who have implemented this model in their local churches here in KY.

The cost for the retreat is your travel accommodations and your meal on Friday evening.  Here are two options for local places for you and the other member(s) of your church to stay.
Kavanaugh Retreat Center (located directly behind the conference center)
502-241-9091

Hampton Inn (located about 10 minutes from the conference center)
