Greetings!
It is nearly fall and that means cool nights, warm fires and of course the Ida Spence Fundraiser!
This year the date is Saturday November 4, 2017 at Immanuel UMC’s Lakeside Campus. The doors will open at 5pm and the meal will be served at 5:30pm. Tickets are $10.
Traditionally, churches have made this event a successful fundraiser by helping in 2 areas.
The first, of course, is attendance. We need to sell tickets to raise money. We have 2 options for this: presale and at the door. How does presale work? Simple! We have enclosed or attached a sheet that contains printable or reproducible tickets. You can collect money for the event in exchange for an advance ticket. Just email us and let us know your church name and how many you presold. Then, simply, drop your money off to the ticket takers. Those that pre-purchase tickets can get in faster via a special line.
Why is presale important? Well, it helps us with set up and food preparation. It also saves time. It is as simple as that.
The second thing, WE NEED PASTOR CAKES! Every year we put on a live auction that features cakes baked by our pastors. Usually it is a come in and drop off type thing. While that is fine, it is helpful for us to know in advance who is bringing a cake. This helps us time the auction.
We look forward to an amazing turn out for our 2017 Ida Spence Fundraiser and to seeing which Pastor makes this years winning cake!
