Megg Batey

District International Missions Fundraiser

We invite you to a night of fun! Crockpot cook offs have been a fun time for local churches, but we want to do it on a bigger scale with more food to try and more people to enjoy fellowship with. To fellowship around the table has long been a part of our faith tradition, but we probably need to lay down some instructions for this event. First, it is free to enter a dish in the contest. The only requirement to enter the dish is that it has to be cooked in a crockpot. It can be an appetizer, main dish, or dessert. To try the dishes a $5 donation is suggested and each person will receive 5 tickets to vote with. You can try as many of the dishes as you would like and then place a ticket (or all of them) in the cup next to the dish that you would like to vote for. At the end of the night, the votes will be counted and first, second, and third place prizes will be given.

We hope that your church will join us with one or more crockpot dishes.

All the donations will go to international missions. The first two places the district is visiting will be Costa Rica and Nicaragua at the end of April with other countries later this year. We will be talking more about what our district has planned for international missions at the event. For those that are looking to get involved in the Great Commission but do not know where to start, this is a great way for them to give and have a good time fellowshipping.

See you there.

Let us know if you will be bringing a dish.
