Join Kentucky Conference United Methodists for a mission journey to serve with Thailand Now, August 6-17, 2020. This mission journey is open to members & friends of United Methodist Churches across Kentucky.
In serving with Thailand Now, we will work with two of their key ministries: Pioneer Pastors, which seeks to plant churches in every county in Thailand that has never had a Christian congregation, and Blessing Homes, which seeks to provide educational opportunities for children at-risk of human trafficking. A majority of the work will center on leading English camps, engaging in prayer and worship with Thai Christians, and visiting the places where new churches are being planted.
Serving in Thailand with Thailand Now is an incredible experience, in places of great need and where Christianity is new and transformative.  Learn more about Thailand Now at thailandnow.org. Participants will be exposed to churches of first generation Christians, desperate needs in the lives of children, and the culture of Thailand.
The mission team application from Thailand Now serves as the application for this trip. You can download the application at www.m1umc.org/thailand. They will be accepted on a rolling basis until the trip is full, with the final deadline being April 30, 2020.
The total cost of the trip is $2800, which includes airfare, ground transportation in Thailand, lodging, meals, project supplies, and insurance. Participants will be responsible for paying or fundraising the entire amount. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due with your application. There is a scholarship of $500 available for United Methodist pastors going to Thailand for the first time.
