In this cutting-edge training, the author of the new Wonderfully Made resource from the United
Methodist Publishing House, Rev. Dr. Leigh Meekins, is coming to Lexington to train pastors, staff
and volunteers to offer faith-based sexuality education for preteens in their own communities. This
training is FREE and open to church staff and their volunteers.
Wonderfully Made is an updated and re-branded version of Created by God, the faith and sexuality
resource that the UMC has used for 30+ years. This new resource reorganizes the material to be
much easier to customize for each congregation. It also includes information on more current topics
such as phone apps and social media. Finally, Wonderfully Made includes blessings over the body
within each module to help center the preteens' identity and understanding as given and made by
God.
