Meet a Benefactor - Louise Bishop

 

Thanks to the generosity and vision of Mrs. Bishop, individuals in the Bowling Green District have received financial assistance toward their theological education and spiritual preparation as pastors.

One of the endowments which is under investment with the Foundation is the Louise Bishop Ministerial Education Fund.

This Fund is made possible through a generous bequest by the late Mrs. Louise Bishop, a dedicated member of State Street United Methodist Church, Bowling Green, Kentucky.  At the time of her death in 1978, Mrs. Bishop's will confirmed that she and her husband, Marshel, centered their lives around their love for church, school, family and others.  This scholarship fund is a summation of their lives and a legacy of Christian ministry that "though silent, they continue to speak."
