Thanks and prayers

March 23, 2020

As I share my gratitude to each of you for your patience, creativity and faithfulness, I am aware that we will be living in this current reality for a while. Please begin to make plans for that to be the case.

I am requesting that we continue to follow all the guidelines outlined by our national and state health care and government officials around large gatherings including worship, funerals and other church activities. Please continue to seek alternative ways for your members to financially support the ministry and mission of your church through the giving of their tithes and offerings.

Stay connected with others, remembering that "social distancing" does not mean isolation. Stay in contact with each other, especially the most vulnerable. We are learning together some amazing ways to remain faithful to our calling as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Dawn and I have missed our time spent in worship with you. We do remain hopeful that each of us will do  our best in following the guidelines laid out for us so that the both of us will soon experience our greatest love: worshiping and-or preaching at a different church in our Annual Conference each Sunday. Until that time please know that our prayers and love are with each of you. I hope you can hear that love and concern in the video that is enclosed with this message.

Stay safe and keep the faith.

In Christ,

Bishop Fairley
