United Methodist Mission Needs Donations

April 10, 2015

The United Methodist Mountain Mission has been serving the people of eastern Kentucky since 1943. The Mission has 8 opportunity stores in Kentucky.  Stores are located in Barbourville, Irvine, Harlan, Hazard, Jackson, Pineville, West Liberty, and Burkesville, KY. The Mission has trucks that travel throughout Kentucky to pick up donated items. With the help of supporters the Mission is able to provide gently used clothing and household items at a reasonable price.

The United Methodist Mission warehouse is low on donations! At present the Mission has these urgent needs:
* Underwear and socks for the whole family
* Good children's shoes
* Men's clothing and shoes
* Dishes, pots and pans, and small appliances
* For use at the Mission Plant-Dust mops, garbage bags - 13 gallon and 33 gallon sizes and 5 gallon buckets with lids.

Mission Trucks will be in the following areas on the dates below.
April 13-15: Louisville
April 20-22: Owensboro-Henderson
May 26-27: Ashland-Barbourville
