2015 Annual Conference Sunday Wrap-up
The day began with the truck arriving and a bevy of volunteers and office staff started the task of unloading and setting up a remote office to handle all the nuts and bolts that make our Annual Conference happen.
Later in the day the conference Archives and History team hosted a seminar focusing on local church history. Western Kentucky University professor, Jonathan Jeffrey shared the items that are of most value to the university's archives. He stated that biographies, association minutes, hymnals and records of vital statistics are where archives can glean some very telling information.
The Run for the Nets 5K attracted over 80 runners. On a very warm and humid evening, runners took off from St. James UMC and raced to the finish line located at Weldon Peete Park along the low hollow trail.
Looking forward to opening worship, ordination and all the great events planned for our plenary sessions on Monday? Don't forget to tune into the live stream starting at 2;00 pm CDT to follow along.
