2018 Confirmation Day with the Bishop

Early on St. Patrick's Day over 100 youth and youth leaders gathered at Crestwood UMC to learn about the history and workings of the United Methodist Church. Students learned about the various types of clergy in the church and their roles; the role of laity in the church; how the connectional system works; and how their tithe and offering dollars are spent. They had a question and answer session with Bishop Fairley and then two students helped Bishop Fairley and Rev. Julie Hager Love serve communion. After lunch the groups toured the conference center and then visited with Bishop Fairley in his office where each group also had their picture taken with the bishop.
