Ministerial Exploration Team Awards

The Ministerial Exploration Team of the Board of Ordained Ministry exists to support and guide those discerning a call into vocational ministry. As a part of that task we visit Kentucky United Methodist students in seminaries, we offer information for those sensing a call, we offer events to help people with that discernment, and we celebrate local churches who are nurturing members toward answering a call.

Last year at Annual Conference, we honored Southern Hills United Methodist Church in Lexington for setting apart several members for ordination over the years. We will honor another local congregation again this year. If you have a story about how your local church helped to nurture your call or helped you in the discernment process, please send that story to our team. We will read through your stories and pick one to highlight for all the conference to hear.
