Corona de Vida Celebrates VBS

July 30, 2008

Corona de Vida Mission Congregation in Hopkinsville, Ky. celebrated its first Vacation Bible School from Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11, 2008. Directors Juan Gamboa and María Álvarez trained four teachers—Noraima Cruz, Filomena Cruz, Alondra Ortiz, and Rebeca Saldaña—who were in charge of the program with the assistance of some volunteers: Blanca Antonio, Macrina Rivera, María Rivera, Guillermina Zúñiga, Ana Larios, Lilia Tapia, Teresa Romualdo, and Teresa Moreno.

Twenty-eight children attended this event, while six infants shared every moment with them. On Saturday, July 12, some of them made a trip with their families to Lake Barkley, and on Sunday, July 13, they celebrated the closing at a worship service where they received certificates of participation. We give thanks to God for his loving care and to those who help to work a successful event.
