Christ Church Serves 13 Agencies in Work Day

December 03, 2008

Christ Church Cares Day is an annual event when members from Christ Church (Louisville District) go out into the community in the name of Christ to serve a number of organizations at the same time. This year more than 600 Christ Church volunteers worked at 13 different agencies on one great day of service.

There was something for everyone — no matter the age, skill level, or interest.  Folks volunteered with family, small group, Sunday school class, friends, and neighbors. Everyone was welcome, and we encouraged all to bring people from outside our church family to work with them.

An individual can change the world — one heart at a time.

These are the agencies served:
Cabbage Patch Settlement House
Center for Women and Families
Choices, Inc.
Christ Church United Methodist
Day Spring
Fourth Avenue UMC
Hospital Hospitality House
Kavanaugh Center
The Lighthouse Ministries
Portland Promise Center
Prodigal Ministries
Wesley Manor
