"Called by Christ, Sent by the Spirit": The 2009 Kentucky Annual Conference

This was a year of firsts for the Kentucky Annual Conference: the first year with Bishop Lindsey Davis presiding at the Conference sessions, the first year Annual Conference was held in Northern Kentucky, and the first year members were able to register for Conference online.
More than 300 volunteers with smiling faces and sunny yellow T-shirts brightened the Northern Kentucky Convention Center and surrounding area as they welcomed and assisted Conference members and guests. It was a wonderful time of holy conferencing. There were video stories about calls to ministry, prayers offered in planned and spontaneous moments, inspiring Bible studies, joyful music, great preaching, laughter, tears, and celebration of the Love that brings us together.

They, along with more than 300 volunteers, helped welcome some 1,000 United Methodists to Northern Kentucky.
