Red Bird Mission – A Legacy of Faith
A half-hour special highlighting students and alumni of Red Bird Mission School will air Saturday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m. (EST) on the Hazard, Kentucky station WYMT-TV. It can also be viewed via a web simulcast at www.wymtnews.com.
Chris Klimecko, executive director of Red Bird Mission, shared the following in the Red Bird Mission Newsletter.
The television special marks the beginning of the Building on a Legacy of Faith initiative that celebrates the success of Red Bird Mission and signals a call for renewed support that will sustain and expand our Christian mission and influence in and around the Red Bird Valley.
While thousands have taken hold of the opportunities offered through our spiritual, educational, health and community outreach ministries, statistics and our ability to measure the pulse of the communities we serve dictate that we have many more people to reach. We have a rich heritage of ministry that saved lives and equipped children and youth to be effective Christian leaders and citizens.
The steady, faithful support of thousands enabled us to reach thousands, and we are now calling on a new generation of God's people to join with regular support as we continue building on our legacy of faith.
