Clarenda Phillips named ACE Fellow for 2010 -02011
Dr. Clarenda Phillips, chair of the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Criminology at Morehead State University, has been named an ACE Fellow for academic year 2010-11.
The ACE Fellows Program, established in 1965, is designed to strengthen institutions and leadership in American higher education by identifying and preparing promising senior faculty and administrators for responsible positions in college and university administration. Forty-six Fellows, nominated by the presidents or chancellors of their institutions, were selected this year following a rigorous application process.
Clarenda is an active member of the Kentucky Annual Conference. Ordained as a Deacon in full connection at the 2008 Annual Conference Clarenda serves the conference in many capacities; she is a member of the Board of Ordained Minisrty, the Higher Education Task Force, the Higher Education Team, the Justice Team and the Primary Task Team.
