Wesley Village Celebrates 2010 "Heroes, Saints and Legends"

December 01, 2010

Close to 550 friends and supporters of Wesley Village Senior Living Community of Wilmore, KY attended the 14th Annual Heroes, Saints and Legends Awards Banquet held at Lexington's Embassy Suites on November 9, 2010. The night's special honorees included Ransom Cooper, Kate R. Thomas, and Sewell Woodward.

President of Asbury Theological Seminary, Dr. Timothy C. Tennent, inspired all with a keynote address entitled "Spotting the Saints Among Us." The President/CEO of Mississippi Methodist Senior Services, Stephen L. McAlilly, challenged the crowd to support Wesley Village's new initiative to open Kentucky's first "small home for memory care" based on Green House principles developed by Dr. Bill Thomas. All proceeds from the evening go towards Wesley Village's new small home project. For more information on the event or project please call Tim Layton at 859-858-3865 ext. 262.
