Changes in Connectional Ministry Staff Announced

The position of Associate Director of Connectional Ministry with Young People has recently been restructured. As a result, David Sparks has asked to receive an appointment to a local church. We celebrate and thank David for his ministry with us since 2005 and are appreciative that he will continue to work part-time with Connectional Ministries in the area of Youth Ministry where he will continue to be the staff representative to the Ministry with Young People Network.

With the 2011 appointment of Paul Brunstetter to both New Church Development and the Elizabethtown District Superintendent, the congregational development portfolio that was previously combined with new church development was given to Connectional Ministries. Julie Hager Love, Director of Connectional Ministries, will be adding congregational development (renewal of existing congregations) to her portfolio, and the position currently held by Sparks will be changed to the title of Associate Director of Connectional Ministries with this ministry portfolio including: Evangelism, Age-Level Ministries, Camp & Retreat Ministry, Higher Education, Advocacy, Safe Sanctuaries, Missions and Justice.
