Ephesians 4:29 - Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Thought for the Month
Would you rather be around someone who is pleasant and uncomplaining, or one who is constantly upset about some perceived slight or wrong? Not a hard question, of course. We love to be with someone who looks for the good in us, and who loves the Lord, don’t we?

Senior Tip for March
Smile and show graciousness to all, especially those who are hard to love. Model Christ’s love to all we meet.

Prayer
Dear Lord, It’s not easy to not complain, but help us to be aware of our attempts to make ourselves look good by putting others down. During this season of Lent, help us to “give up” complaining. Amen.
