Hurricane Sandy Response
(Note: The Kentucky Conference is collecting flood buckets and health kits for UMCOR. They will be loaded onto a truck at Camp Kavanaugh on November 20. Click here for more information.)
As Hurricane Sandy bore down on millions of people, The United Methodist Church helped them prepare, respond, and cope with their fear.
The storm left millions without power and facing enormous property damage and loss. Even worse, many are grieving the dozens of lives lost because of the hurricane. In the face of this sorrow, The United Methodist Church offers a light of hope.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) has already supplied $50,000 in emergency response grants, and Early Response Teams are mobilizing for cleanup. As with all natural disasters, the recovery will be a long-term process. Through UMCOR, we are all part of this disaster response effort.
Please help now and in years to come. Donate to UMCOR US Disaster Response, Hurricanes 2012, Advance #3021787.
