United Methodist Volunteers in Mission Team Leader Training

January 08, 2013

United Methodist Volunteers in Mission Team Leader Training equips and empowers persons to lead mission teams, both domestically and internationally.   The training will help individuals through the entire process of choosing, planning, preparing, and leading a local church mission team.  Topics covered will include mission partnerships, practical travel details, fundraising, mission team dynamics, and other relevant information to short-term missions.  The training comes highly recommended from our United Methodist mission sites who can tell a big difference between mission teams that have trained leaders, and those who have not received the training.  Those completing the training will also receive the UMVIM Team Leader Handbook as part of their registration cost, which provides many helpful resources for mission team leaders.   Each of the four regional training events also includes lunch.

Registration is $30.  Full scholarships are available for those under 30 to receive the training at no cost. For more information about the Under 30 Scholarships, please contact Rev. John D. Kalz, kalzjd@gmail.com .

1 CEU credit is available for these events.
