Workshop for Opportunity for Laity in the Kentucky Conference

The Southeastern Jurisdiction of Lay Servant Ministries will have their annual meeting in Louisville next week from July 25-28, 2013. Rev. Steve Manskar, D. Min. Director of Wesleyan Leadership Ministries of GBOD has written a book entitled “Class Leader”. The book is about accountability in today’s environment of the United Methodist Church. The GBOD scheduled the book for release in October 2013.  Dr. Manskar, as part of this conference, will be presenting a workshop on Friday, July 26, 2013 and Saturday, July 27, 2013 and make an advance copy of the book available to all of those who attend in Louisville next week.  One may choose to attend either day.

 

There are some “winds of change” in the United Methodist Church that will make the subject of accountability for the laity more pertinent than ever. I encourage you to prayerfully consider taking advantage of this opportunity by attending the workshop on either Friday, or Saturday. It begins at 8:30 each morning. The conference will be held at the Louisville Marriot East 1903 Embassy Square Blvd, Louisville, KY 40299.
