2013 SEJ Lay Servant Ministries Annual Meeting

The Southeastern Jurisdiction of the Association of Conference Directors of Lay Servant Ministries are meeting in Louisville, Kentucky from July 25 through July 28, 2013. Business items are to be discussed as well as examining the changes that have come forth from the General Conference of 2012 and the effect on Lay Speaking/Servant Ministries. One of the changes from the General Conference is changing from the title of Lay Speaker to Lay Servant.  Betty Jo Forkner is leading a discussion of how the role of the Lay Speaker has changed to the Lay Servant. There are also classes available that lead to certification as lay servants. Some of the instructors include Steve Manaskar and Beverly Maddox. Lay Servant Ministry is leading congregations to lead people to actively follow Jesus Christ.
