It's time once again to start planning for the Kentucky Conference Youth Mission trip! Conference youth will travel back to Honduras to continue on with the work that was started over the past two summers. High school students who have completed at least their freshman year are invited to join us as we share the love of Christ with the people of Honduras.
We will gather in Louisville on June 27, 2014, and leave for Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on June 28. During our time in Honduras, we will work with the Pech Indians in a neighborhood of the village of Carbon in central Honduras. The Pech are an indigenous people for whom Spanish is a second language. While in Honduras, our youth will have the opportunity to help with Vacation Bible School with the Pech children. They will also have opportunities to help with the infrastructure of the village as they assist with the building of latrines and chimneys and the pouring of concrete floors.
This is an opportunity for our youth to be the hands and feet of Christ as they carry the message of Christ deep into the heart of Honduras. The group will return to Louisville on July 5th.
The total cost for the trip (airfare, transportation, meals, and housing) is
$2000 per person. To register online:

Blessed Be the Ties!
Through your generous support, our youth have been involved in connecting with many children in Honduras and we are asking for your support again this year.
With your help, we are going to have another jewelry sale during the 2014 Annual Conference. However, this year, in addition to jewelry, we will also sell gently used men's ties! If you have jewelry, neckties, bow ties or even bolero ties that are in good condition and you would like to donate them, please contact your District Superintendent.
Any leftover jewelry or ties will go to Red Bird for them to sell in their mission store. If you would simply like to donate money, make your check payable to the Kentucky Conference Treasurer and send it to Joni Way at the conference office. Earmark your check "Honduras Mission Trip." The address is 7400 Floydsburg Road, Crestwood, KY 40014.
Thank you in advance for your support. We are hoping to increase the number of youth that will be blessed to be a blessing as they learn the joys of being in the mission fields for Christ.
