July 19, 2018
The United Methodist Judicial Council will consider 48 petitions related to three proposals for resolving the church’s differences over homosexuality when it meets Oct. 23-26 in Zurich, Switzerland.

Included in the 231-page request from the Council of Bishops is the full Commission on a Way Forward report, along with the petitions related to the three plans the commission has put forward ahead of a special General Conference session next February in St. Louis.

The report, which was posted on the court docket this week, will be formally released by July 30, after it has been translated into the four official languages of the General Conference.
