Kentucky delegates to meet August 20

August 02, 2018
Please be in prayer for the Kentucky Annual Conference’s delegates to the 2019 called session of General Conference as they hold their first of three scheduled in-person meetings on Monday, Aug. 20, at the Conference Center in Crestwood.

The delegation of clergy and lay people, made up of 10 people and four alternates, will be among the 864 United Methodist delegates from around the world who will meet in St. Louis Feb. 23-26, 2019, to receive and discuss a report from the Commission on a Way Forward as requested by the 2016 General Conference.

The report is comprised of three proposals addressing ways that the United Methodist Church could possibly address the issue of human sexuality.

Laity delegate Lew Nicholls is chair and Rev. Dr. Bill T. Arnold is vice chair of the Kentucky delegation.
