Lighthouse Academy Needs Your Vote!

Lighthouse Academy at Newburg is an after-school program in Louisville that was established by the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1998. It serves about 100 at-risk children per semester with a focus on educational, emotional and spiritual growth. It also has a recreation program to give children an alternative to the drugs and gang influence so prevalent in this area.

Lighthouse is one of six finalists for the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award (TIA) in this Chick-fil-A region (Kentucky, Tennessee, the Carolinas, most of Virginia,  eastern Arkansas, and southern West Virginia). The final selection will be based on the votes, via the app, of their customers between Nov. 7-21. The top four vote-getters of the six will be awarded prizes of between $50,000 and $150,000 by Chick-fil-A.

Here’s what you can do to help:
  • Download the Chick-fil-A app, if you haven’t already.
  • Sign in or create a Chick-fil-A One account in the Chick-fil-A app and select “Rewards’ from the options on the bottom of the screen.
  • Once in the “Rewards’ section of the app, select “News’ on the top left of the screen.
  • Click the “Vote Now” button.
  • Select your region.
  • Read about the organizations that are this year’s regional finalists and cast your vote for Lighthouse Academy.
