Mission Teams Needed

Partners in Ministry (PIM) a ministry of the North Carolina Annual Conference is looking for Volunteer In Mission teams that are able go to to the Laurinburg area of North Carolina to assist in rehabilitating homes. R.O.A.R. (Rehab Outreach And Recovery) assists low-income home owners with Urgent Home Repairs that help eliminate health, safety and environmental hazards for residents who are elderly, handicapped, or disabled.
The need is great. Last year PIM and R.O.A.R rehabilitated 54 homes in the Scotland and Robeson county area and this year they have 20 homes that are waiting for teams. Teams are welcome any time of the year, but weather is the best from March through October. Roof repair, plumbing, ramps, and floors are just some of the needs that need to be addressed. Teams are doing emergency repairs to existing homes and we will work with teams to fit their particular abilities as much as possible,. Just a reminder that we do not do any cosmetic work on the houses.
