Christine Curtsinger Simpson

Christine Curtsinger Simpson, age 84, of Lexington, KY, passed away at 2:15 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at her home.

A native of Washington County, she was born on Aug. 2, 1937, to the late Herbert Wayne and Martha F. Curtsinger.

She was a member of the Midway United Methodist Church, a graduate of Willisburg High School, a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and a retired registered nurse.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Rev. Julian Simpson on Jan. 5, 2018, and three sisters, Willa May Curtsinger on Aug. 27, 1932, Barber Ann Curtsinger on June 3, 1948, and Myrtle Lee Boblitt on Nov. 15, 2016.

Survivors include her son, David Simpson of Lexington; two granddaughters, Dorothy Simpson and Connie Simpson; three great grandchildren, Bianca Brewer, Desmond Brewer and Olivia Leveridge and a sister, Margaret Wayne Foster (Joe Darrol) of Campbellsville.

In keeping with her wishes cremation was chosen, her cremains will be buried beside her husband in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
