The 14th Annual Mission Celebration of the United Methodist Women of the Kentucky Conference met on October 23, 2010 at Christ UMC in Louisville, KY. Several distinguished guests attended including Bishop Lindsey Davis, Louisville District Superintendent Rev. Becki Curry, Rev. Rebecca Heid of Christ Church, Jerry Lambdin of Henderson Settlement, Dr. Renee Campbell of Wesley House, and missionary to Thailand Rev. Sherri Morrissey just to name a few. Special musical and dance presentations were made from children's groups from Portland Promise Center and Lighthouse Community Center. The Simposonville UMC Dulcimer Group provided some beautiful music for the service as well. The various reports from the different districts were read and the transition from the old officers to the new ones took place. This day was truly a celebration of how the United Methodist Women of Kentucky continue to touch lives and make a difference in their town, district, state, country and even around the world!

Six students from the Kentucky Annual Conference are enrolled in the Course of Study School at Candler School of Theology located at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. Course of Study School trains local pastors in the United Methodist Church. The five-year Course of Study School is conducted in two, two-week modules each summer for part- and full-time pastors.
On March 13, 2012, 33 people traveled from Cynthiana First UMC to East Bernstadt to help clean up a site where a home was destroyed by a March 2 tornado.

FIRST LADY BESHEAR HARVESTS VEGETABLES WITH LOCAL YOUTH 2010 Festival of Faiths gardens part of effort to increase awareness of "Sacred Soils" Louisville, KY - July 26, 2010 - The Festival of Faiths and Coke Memorial United Methodist Church celebrate the first harvest of a "no-till" garden planted earlier this summer on church grounds. The garden is tended by 15 children, ages 4 to 17, who selected the garden project for their "I'm Excellent" Summer Program. Under the guidance of Steve Meredith, Festival of Faiths garden project volunteer, the children plan to harvest squash, sweet corn, tomatoes and a small variety of other plants.

The Louisville District of United Methodist Churches celebrated Impact Louisville, a day of service on August 16, 2014. Mayor Greg Fischer welcomed volunteers at the opening kickoff gathering. Over 400 United Methodists served with agencies across Louisville.
